DOHA: 40 people were hurt on a Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Manila because of a severe turbulence while it was approaching to the airport.
Philippine news station TV5 said that the Qatar Airways flight QR 932 experienced “downdraft about 30 minutes prior to landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
The incident caused injuries to passengers who were not wearing seatbelts, the station quoted sources.
It quoted a statement from the to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines as saying “the pilot requested priority landing at NAIA, citing the injured passengers, which included three children and two flight attendants.”
