ANANTNAG: Coming down heavy on social evils, extravaganza and futile rituals, Tehreek-i- Falah-ul-Muslimeen a religious and social organization in Anantnag, Friday, stressed the need to follow the footsteps of the spiritual personalities of the bygone era to overcome the ills facing the present-day society.
Hundreds of locals and Islamic scholars from different parts of Kashmir attended the event at Masjid Abu Bakar, Sanagam, Anantnag.
The speakers stressed that the social fabric of Kashmir was deteriorating adding that the youth of Kashmir need to learn and apply basic teachings of Islam. The youth are getting taking to drugs and other anti-social activities due to the lack of the Islamic knowledge, one of the speakers said. Many evils are currently plaguing the society and it can be confronted by implementing Islamic teachings and by following footsteps of our sufi scholars.
