SRINAGAR: Sopore police arrested an extortionist and recovered a toy pistol from his possession.
According to the police, one person namely Hilal Ahmad Potoo son of Abdul Khaliq Potoo resident of Gulshan Bagh Fruit Mandi Sopore near bus stand Sopore used to extort money from people by using a toy pistol.
A case FIR No. 186/15 under section 382 RPC was registered against him and investigation has been taken up.
One Samsung mobile phone, one fake currency note of 1000 Rupees denomination, Rs 850=/ and a toy pistol was recovered from his possession.
