SRINAGAR: The top brass leaders of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) expressed their concern over the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the coalition government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to sources, the RSS expressed their concerns over law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of continuous ceasefire violations from Pakistan and rallies of separatist leaders.
From governments side, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh gave assurances over the security provisions of Jammu and Kashmir and assured that all necessary steps are being taken.
The BJP leaders also said that the coalition government led by chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed in the state is running on Common Minimum Programme as decided before the formation of the government. There were reports that the Article 370 was also discussed in the RSS meet.
RSS suggested that common public should be reached out to help resolve the Naxalite problem. RSS also suggested that the government should play a pro-active role in solving the Naxalite problem, sources close to RSS said.
Coordination meetings among the Parivar outfits are bi-annual in nature but this time the number of participants is almost double the usual, giving the meeting an extra significance. Modi is also attending it for the first time after becoming the Prime Minister.
