Srinagar: A top education official was suspended by government in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir over misappropriation of funds.
The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Lal Hussain said that a complaint was moved before him by the parents of students of Government High School Narvhurian against the concerned school head master Muhammad Asgar Khan. He said the parents had complained that the said head master had embezzled funds meant for the scholarship of the students.
On this, I constituted a probe team and the panel submitted a report before me. As of now, we have suspended the head master, the CEO said. Sources said that the head master has embezzled lakhs of rupees which were meant for the students.
