SRINAGAR: An earthquake, measuring 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale, rocked Kashmir valley and Ladakh region early this morning.
Official sources said tremors which were felt at 0557 hrs lasted for few seconds forcing people to rush out of their homes in panic.
They said its epicentre was somewhere in Ladakh region. However, a MET spokesman in Srinagar said that their system was not working because of internet problem for the past two days.
Police said there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property. (AGENCIES)
