Srinagar: Omar Qayoom, a city teenager who was killed during 2010 agitation, was remembered today on his 5th death anniversary.
Omar, who was a resident of Soura, was killed after being allegedly beaten by police in custody. The medical reports also mentioned beating as the reason for his death. However, the police have so far denied that he died due to beating. The teenager remained in hospital for few days after being released by police and breathed his last on this day of 2010.
