Lady bureaucrat hurls choicest abuses at employee
SRINAGAR: Visitors and employees of the Civil Secretariat Wednesday were shocked as well as amused to watch Director Education Jammu, Yasha Mudgal, abusing and Commissioner Secretary Education, Shalin Kabra, chasing, slapping and handing a Secretariat employee over to the police.
As per the eyewitnesses, during the rush hours in the corridors of Civil Secretariat Srinagar, the shoulder touch between an ordinary Secretariat employee and Director Education Jammu, Yasha Mudgal, resulted in the fall of the later. The Director Education Jammu according to witnesses was so furious that without caring for the people present in the corridor allegedly hurled a volley of choicest abuses upon the poor employee. It was a shocker to me. A lady bureaucrat showering choicest abuses was an act which I had never imagined, said an eye witness, Ajaz Ahmed.
Eyewitnesses added that, the poor employee in a bid to save himself from the wrath of furious bureaucrat fled from the spot, however, Commissioner Secretary Education Shalin Kabra chased the fellow and caught hold of him in the premises of Secretariat gate. After slapping him, Kabra handed him over to police personnel deployed in the Civil Secretariat, the eyewitnesses told CNS.
When contacted SP Security Civil Secretariat, Shamshir Hussain Khan, said that the employee in question was not at fault. The collision was unintentional. He said. We have not arrested the employee and after questioning him we felt he didnt push the lady intentionally.
The employees at the Secretariat watching this drama alleged that Yesha Mudgal spends her time in Srinagar and rarely visits Jammu where she is posted. The behaviour of the bureaucrats was unjustified and we condemn it. President Civil Secretariat Employees Union, Ghulam Rasool said. We will raise this issue and will discuss it in the meeting.
Attempts to reach the Commissioner Secretary and Director Education Jammu did not materialize.
