Srinagar: Adbee Markaz Kamraz Monday announced its annual awards to be conferred at its annual conference next month at Pahalgam. The decision to this effect was taken by the Awards Committee of AMK. According to AMK this year’s prestigious “Sharf-e-Kamraz” will be given to noted writer and poet Rafiq Raaz while as Shehjar-e-Adab Lolab has been chosen for the organization category for the same award.
Three “Khilat-e-Hanfi Sopori” awards named after well know poet Hanafi Sopori and given in collaboration with Majlis-un-Nisa Sopore are given in three categories of media, preacher and an administrator, who have contributed in promoting the language. While in media category it will be given to Shahid Budgami, Editor of Kashmiri monthly magazine Harmukh, among the preachers the name of Moulana Showkat Hussain Keng was cleared. Deputy Commissioner Bandipore Dr Shah Faesal was given the award in the category of administration. The decision on finalizing the nominations was unanimous.
