Poonch: Two army soldiers were killed after a water tanker in which they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down about 300 meters deep gorge in Mendhar area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A police official said that a vehicle (Water Tanker) of armys 15 MAHAR Regiment met with the accident at Dharana in Mendhar. In the mishap two soldiers including driver of the vehicle received critical injuries.
Both the injured were shifted to armys MI unit in the area where doctors declared them as brought dead, he said.
The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Baghel and Sepoy KR Patel. Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started further investigations in this regard, the official said.
