SRINAGAR- Alishba Jeelani of DPS Srinagar has won a bronze medal in the Beach Games 2024 in Diu, held from January 4th to January 11th, 2024. Alishba competed in the Pencak Silat discipline, which is a full-body fighting form incorporating strikes, grappling and throwing in addition to weaponry.
Alishba was part of the victorious J&K team that clinched 3 gold and 5 bronze medals. She also represented J&K in basketball nationals.
Congratulating the student on the feat, Principal Shafaq Afshan expressed her delight.
DPS Srinagar Chairman Vijay Dhar also congratulated Alishba.
