SRINAGAR- J&K senior men’s cricket team has started its 2024 Ranji Trophy campaign with a draw against Himachal Pradesh, after bad light curtailed the game to only 65.3 overs in four days at the JKCA Hostel Ground in Jammu.
J&K was bowled out for a humiliating 100 runs in 35.3 overs on Day 1 after Himachal Pradesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. In reply, HP had reached 120/1 in 30 overs on Day 2 when bad light stopped play.
HP earned three points from the game due to the first innings lead, while J&K was awarded one point.
J&K next play Delhi on January 12.
