Kulgam: An Engineering student lost his life while two of his friends from the same village in South Kashmirs Kulgam district were critically injured after the motor-cycle they were riding was hit with an electric pole. Eyewitnesses said that 22 years old Engineering Student Junaid Mubarak Bhat, a resident of Panew Kulgam lost the balance of his speedy motor cycle and collided with an electric pole in Panew village. Police said that Junaid died on spot while two of his pillion rider friends Waseem Yousuf and Showkat Manzoor Bhat of the same village were critically injured and shifted to SKIMS Srinagar.
Rash driving has claimed at least 12 lives across Kashmir since Eid-ul-Fitar.
