Srinagar: Announcing that she will not attend the Eid Milan party of Pakistan High Commissioner in Delhi, Dukhtaran e Millat chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi Wednesday said that Pakistan has hurt the sentiments of Kashmiri nation.
Our sentiments are hurt and we have decided not to attend the Eid Milan party, where we were specially invited, in protest to Nawaz Sharief not mentioning Kashmir in his meeting with Narendra Modi, Asiya said in a statement.
She said Nawaz Shareef sadly and surprisingly didnt even mention Kashmir in his meeting with Modi at Ufa in Russia just to keep the later in good humor.
Justifying her decision of boycotting the invitation for Eid Milan she said, How can the leadership attend any celebrations at Pakistan High Commission when the sentiments of the nation are being played with. It does not look nice, so we have decided to register our strong protest by boycotting the party.
This was unexpected and we the Kashmirs are deeply hurt so we have decided to boycott the Pak high commissioners invitation in protest, she said and added that let Pakistan know that Kashmiris cannot be taken for granted. She further said that since India is an oppressor, Kashmiris have never had any expectations from her however Pakistani rulers must bear it in mind that the Kashmir issue is actually the issue of completion of Pakistan itself and they cannot backtrack from supporting this movement.
This is actually the unfinished agenda of formation of Pakistan so Pakistan is not supporting us as a friend or so but the Kashmir issue is actually its own issue she said, adding that by ignoring Kashmir in the said meeting Nawaz Sharief on one hand hurt the sentiments of Kashmiri nation and on the other hand has breached the basics of the movement of completion of Pakistan itself.
