SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today took a detailed review of the progress oof work on Parimpora-Narbal (Shalteng) road and other road projects of Kashmir division at a high level officers meeting here.
The Div Com directed concerned agencies to remove the bottlenecks confronting 4-lane Parimpora-Narbal road on priority.
Speaking in the meeting, the Div Com directed all executing agencies to speed up construction works to ensure early completion of road projects including Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri, Bandipora-Gurez-Sumbal, Baramulla-Kupwara-Chowkibal etc.
The Div. Com instructed the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar and other concerned officers that compensation and rehabilitation cases of Gurdwara and a Petrol Pump be sort out with respective stakeholders as soon as possible, so that Parimpora-Narbal road project work will not hamper.
The Chief Engineer Beacon gave brief detail to the Div Com through a PowerPoint presentation and assured the Div Com that 80 percent construction work will be completed by October this year.
