May it please your honour. As a citizen, I feel it is obligatory on my part to inform your gracious self that the school education department is the most important and backbone of the society. The department is losing its credibility with each passing day with some untoward incidents taking place which are in total contrast to the conductive atmosphere of the departments position.
In 2014, before an attempt to set the DSEK building on fire which was averted with the timely intervention of some people, police acted swiftly and accordingly, an FIR was registered in the police station Kothibagh. What happened to the facts in establishing the reason behind torching the records that can well be responded by the officers at the helm. Some tables and computers got damaged in the fire. However, the intention was to hush-up the forged signatures of the JD DSEK on private school recognition cases, which had been going on in the department since 2008.
An inquiry was initiated by the department by some officers which included the said JD DSEK who deals with the recognitions cases, but to an utter surprise, the inquiry was put to a halt for unknown reasons. It has all along been a trend that only the lower rung officials are held accountable and not the higher-up that indicates the involvement of the JD DSEK. What prompted the then director Tariq Ali Mir and Mtr. Suriya Jabeen to shelve the case without bringing to book the culprits responsible for forged signatures on recognition cases remains a mystery.
Pertinently, every private school owner has to make hefty payments to the officers at the helm, at the time of extension or recognition.
A lecturer from who hails from district Pulwama has been withdrawn from a Pulwama school and attached to DSEK office and assigned the clerical job for the past 2 years. It looks the lecturer and the JD DSEK, Suriya Jabeen, are in league with each other for minting money and this seems the reason behind closure of the inquiry halfway to hush up the wrongs. For a transparent and fool-proof inquiry, the government must reopen the forged cases for a thorough inquiry by some impartial officers so that the culprits are brought to book.
It is as such, requested that till completion of the impartial probe, JD DSEK may kindly be attached with the DIET offices or SIE till inquiry is conducted in to her alleged involvement in the forged signatures. This will be a great tribute to the promises and commitments made by the government to provide transparent and corrupt free administration to the people of the state.
