New Delhi- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday.
“Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the PMO said in a post on X.
Sinha’s meet with PM comes a day after he said in Jammu on Monday that the security situation in the Union Territory has improved significantly and terrorism is “taking its last breath” there.
Besides conveying Vijayadashmi greetings, the LG also presented ‘Kong Posh’ (Saffron Flower) to PM on behalf of people of the Union Territory.
“Met Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji today and wished him a blissful Vijayadashmi. Presented ‘Kong Posh’ (Saffron Flower) to Hon’ble PM on behalf of people of J&K UT,” Sinha posted on X.
Later in the day, the LG met Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw and discussed with him a wide range of issues related to IT sector, especially implementation of Bharat Net Phase-III to provide digital connectivity to remote and difficult areas.
