Srinagar- A man was attacked and injured on Wednesday by a black bear in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
32-year-old Abdul Khaliq was working inside his fields in Gulshanpora village of Tral when a black bear appeared there and attacked him, reports said. Khaliq raised an alarm following which the villagers rushed to the spot and chased away the beast.
Khaliq, the reports said, sustained critical injuries in the surprise beast attack. He was removed to a local hospital for treatment. However, the doctors there referred him to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The latest man-animal incident comes a day after a man was injured by a leopard in Sumbal area of Bandipora district on Tuesday.
