Orders speedy renovation, repair works
Srinagar Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan Monday visited Rural Development Department (RDD) office complex at Lal Mandi here and took stock of the functioning and facilities available in the office.
Haq inspected repair and renovation works in various sections of the office compound which had remained submerged for several days in September-2014 deluge.
The Minister was accompanied by Secretary RDD& PR, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Director Rural Development Kashmir, Tassaduq Jeelani and other senior officers of the Department.
The Director RDD briefed the Minister about the activities and working of the office affairs and apprised him about the damage caused to the office infrastructure in September 2014.
While inspecting various sections of the department including Directorate office, Guest house, Meeting Hall, Haq directed expeditious completion of all ongoing works.
The Minister also gave instructions for Macadamization of inner link road to the office besides directing immediate auctioning of damaged furniture and landscaping of the premises. (GNS)
