Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday demanded that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should order a probe to ascertain the militant links of the mainstream politicians and reinvestigate the Hawala cases registered against the separatists.
A BJP spokesman said: Recent revelations of the former RAW Chief A S Dulat cannot be brushed aside.
He said Chief Minister should ask the investigating agencies to peep into the past of the politicians and ascertain whether they still have militant links or not. There are reports that separatists have been seeking favours from the mainstream politicians and they have been obliged on many occasions. BJP believes that this practice should be done away with and people at the helm should concentrate on addressing the issues concerning the masses, he added.
He said the Chief Minister should reinvestigate the Hawala cases registered against the separatists in Jammu and Kashmir.
Many cases about separatist eceiving money through Hawala channels were registered in different police stations but investigations were left half way. Chief Minister should get these cases reinvestigated to ascertain how much money was pumped into Jammu and Kashmir to keep the pot boiling.
