Srinagar- A deputy Sarpanch was arrested for using a fake seal of Sarpanch unauthorisedly in the Kralgund area of Handwara on Saturday, police said.
A team of cops from Police Station Kralgund raided the house of Deputy Sarpanch Rawalpora, Hafiz-ullah and during searches recovered a fake seal of Sarpanch from the house, a police spokesperson said.
Hafiz-ullah, he said, was later arrested and a case under relevant sections of law was registered against him.
The official added that further investigation has been taken up.
