Srinagar- The Union Territory administration has ordered a probe against 10 Jammu and Kashmir policemen, including an Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) rank-officer in terms of Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir government in its official communiqué to the Director General of Police (DGP) accorded sanction in terms of Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 r/w sections 409, 468, 467, 471, 120-B, IPC (PV No.06/2023) EOW, Crime Branch, Srinagar, to initiate an inquiry against 10 policemen.
According to the communiqué issued by Monish Kumar, JKAS, under secretary to the government, the 10 police officers are SSP Zubair Ahmad Khan, ASP Farhat Jeelani, Retd. Dy. SP Mushtaq Ahmad, SI Nissar Ahmad, HC Abdul Rashid, HC Fareed Ahmad, Sg.Ct. Bilal Ahmad, Sg.Ct. Najam-ul-Gani, Ct. Syed Tasweer and Ct. Tawseef Ahmad.
