Pace, progress of developmental works in Anantnag reviewed
ANANTNAG: Present Coalition Government is committed to complete the projects taken in hand and results will be felt by common masses in coming days.
This was stated by Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Mr. Abdul Haq while reviewing the pace of developmental works in Anantnag district today.
Mr. Khan, who is also chairman of District Development Board, was accompanied by DDC Anantnag Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan, Chief Engineers of R&B, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, ACD, SEs of various engineering departments, Joint Director Planning and other concerned officers.
The Minister visited Bumzoo Water Supply scheme taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 45 crore, which will suffice the needs of Anantnag city till 2041. Minister also inspected the flood protection work at Chee village being executed on the river Lidder. He also inspected the works being executed at Model HSS Brakpora, Polytechnic College Larkipora, By pass Road, Mehandi Kadal to Ashajipora besides old SRTC depot.
Later on the Minister reviewed the development works sector wise in a high level meeting at Dak Bungalow Khannabal and also conducted an interactive session with civil society members.
