SRINAGAR, JULY 01: In order to overcome traffic congestion and streamlining the traffic in Batmaloo area, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today convened a joint meeting of Traffic Police and Officers of Srinagar Development Authority in SDA office Bemina.
In the meeting, it was decided and approved to shift Batmaloo General Bus terminal to Parimpora Srinagar for which the Srinagar Development Authority has already acquired 100 kanal land at transport land Parimpora.
The Div Com stressed on Srinagar Municipal Corporation and other departments to take immediate steps for construction of the new Bus terminal at Parimpora so that it becomes functional at the earliest.
In the meeting, it was stated that after shifting of Bus terminal to Parimpora, traffic will ply smoothly and better transport facilities will be provided to the people of North Kashmir districts of Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora.
