Kupwara: Three minor boys were critically injured after being attacked by a wild bear in Kupwara district of north Kashmir today, police said.
The victims have been identified as Shahid Shafi Sheikh, Altaf Ahmad and Faizan Ahmad. They were attacked by the bear when they were playing in a field at Sogam village in Lolab area, around 100 km from here, a police spokesperson said.
The bear which had ventured out from a nearby forest was chased back by villagers he said, adding the critically injured boys were admitted to a hospital.
