ANANTNAG: For ensuring the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2015, a high level meeting was today held at Pahalgam under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan, who is also the District Yatra Officer.
Threadbare discussions were held for proper and smooth conduct of annual Yatra & various aspects related to the commencement of Yatra besides registration of ponies, labourers, accommodation, medicare, transport, ration, boarding and lodging facilities, provision of drinking water, sanitation and cleanliness, establishment of control rooms at all halting stations, ATM and communication facilities were also deliberated upon in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers and agencies for making all arrangements in advance besides dumping of essential commodities, firewood and other Yatra related machines.
Deputy Commissioner directed Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and Assistant Commissioner Labour for making registration of ponies and labourers from June 15, 2015 at Pahalgam and Chandanwari. He directed the Pahalgam Development Authority for making all arrangements related with Yatra. He also directed PMGSY authorities to clear the road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari immediately.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Pahalgam was directed to ensure the implementation of rates already fixed for different services like ponies, transport fare, night stay charges in tents and hotels.
