SRINAGAR: For approval of District annual plans and their implementation in right earnest for economic development and welfare of the State, Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has nominated heads of District Development Boards of twenty districts except Leh and Kargil where Hill Development Councils exist.
These include Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chairman for Srinagar District Development Board, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh as Chairman of Jammu and Samba Districts Development Boards, Minister for Finance, Dr. Haseeb A Drabu as Chairman of Budgam District Development Board, Minister for Revenue Javaid Mustafa Mir as Chairman of Kulgam District Development Board, Minister for RDD and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq Khan as Chairman of Anantnag District Development Board, Minister for Horticulture, Haj and Aquaf, A.R Veeri as Chairman of Pulwama District Development Board, Minister for Transport, Abdul Gani Kohli as Chairman of Shopian District Development Board, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Kumar as Chairman of Baramulla District Development Board, Minister for Youth Services and Sports and IT, Imran Raza Ansari as Chairman of Bandipora District Development Board, Minister for CA&PD and Tribal Affairs, Zulfkar Choudhary as Chairman of Kupwara District Development Board, Minister for Agriculture as Chairman of Ganderbal District Development Board, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Lal Singh as Chairman of Udhampur District Development Board, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga as Chairman of Kathua District Development Board, Minister for Animal Husbandry and ST, Sajad Gani Lone as Chairman of Doda District Development Board, Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar as Chairman of Rajouri District Development Board, Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Bali Bhagat as Chairman of Kishtwar District Development Board, Minister for R&B, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari as Chairman of Poonch District Development Board, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari as Chairman of Ramban District Development Board and Minister for Cooperatives, Chering Dorjay as Chairman of Reasi District Development Board.
Exhibiting his keen interest in the balanced development of all regions and areas of the State, the Chief Minister has decided to chair the Board meetings of all 20 districts himself. The Deputy Chief Minister will also participate there DDB meetings.
Meanwhile, the schedules of meetings of District Development Boards have been also notified. The meetings of Baramulla and Kupwara Districts Development Boards would be held at Baramulla on June 18, 2015. Similarly, the meetings of Kathua and Samba District Development Boards would be held at Kathua on June 20, 2015 while as meetings of Anantnag and Kulgam District Development Boards would be held at Anantnag on June 22, 2015, the meetings of Rajouri and Poonch District Development Boards would be held at Rajouri on June 24, 2015.
Similarly, the meetings of Ganderbal and Bandipora Districts Development Boards would be held at Ganderbal on June 27, 2015 while as the meetings of Udhampur and Ramban Districts Development Boards would be held at Udhampur on June 29, 2015.
The meetings of Pulwama and Shopian District Development Boards would be held at Pulwama on 1st July, 2015 while as the meeting of Doda and Kishtwar District Development Boards would be held at Doda on 4th July, 2015. Similarly, the meetings of Srinagar and Budgam District Development Boards would be held at SKICC on 6th July, 2015 and the meeting of Jammu and Reasi District Development Boards would be held at Banquet Hall Jammu on 8thJuly, 2015.
