SRINAGAR: A delegation of RTI activists led by Dr. Raja Muzzafar Bhat, calledon Governor, Mr. N. N.Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan, here yesterday.
The delegation sought the Governors intervention in restoring J&K RTI Rules 2010; need for bringing in Police Reforms in consultation with the Civil Society; enacting a relevant version of Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act; introduction of reforms in school education as per New Leaf Initiative for all districts of the Valley; and need to explore new adventure tourist destinations in the State.
The Governor assured that these issues would be duly pursued with the State Government.
The other members of the delegation comprised Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Mr. Shahid Ahmad, Mr. Umar Javaid and Dr. Lubna Khan.
