Srinagar: Paying tributes to Ayatullah Khomeini on his 26th anniversary, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah Tuesday said the late leader played a pivotal role in creating unity among the Shia-Sunni Muslims.
Ayatullah Khomeini through his unrelenting struggle deposed the monarchical rule in Iran and paved way for system based on justice in the country, Shah said.
Lauding the courage of Ayatullah for his ideological confrontation with the United States, Shah expressed hope that the people of Iran will follow the mission of the late leader in letter and spirit.
Shah said the lives of such leaders teach us that we should unite against the enemy as a solid structure and make it clear to our foes that they cant divide us on sectarian or geographical
