JAMMU: Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) has called for a day-long Jammu bandh on Tuesday in protest against alleged shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir, which it said was announced for Jammu earlier.
“We have appealed to people of Jammu to support complete bandh and fight for their rights,” Abhinav Sharma, president BAJ here told reporters.
Mr Sharma said that 80-member coordination committee comprising traders, transporters, lawyers, Chamber Association, industrialists and other agencies have been incorporated to make the bandh call successful.
“We want Jammu should get its share and our fight will continue for it,” the BAJ leader said. Various political parties including Congress, JKNPP and Shiv Sena were also supporting the bandh call except the National Conference.
