Stop shedding crocodile tears: Tabasum to Omar Abdullah

Sopore: The family of Muhammad Afzal Guru Monday asked former Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah to stop shedding crocodile tears over Afzal and urged people not to take any of his comments seriously regarding her husbands execution.

Omar Abdullah is an artist and is enacting a drama. Why he did not utter a word when he was in power. If he was so sincere and clear hearted, then why did not he resign when my husband was executed for political benefits, Tabasum Guru, the wife of slain Kashmiri youth Muahmmad Afazal Guru told CNS adding that she doesnt trust any pro-Indian politician.

Pertinently, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in an interview on Sunday had said that the hanging of Parliament convict Muhammad Afzal Guroo was carried out by UPA Government for Political reasons.

If it was known to Omar that hanging was carried out by UPA for political reasons, then why didnt he resign then and made such statement that time. The fact was that his father was a cabinet minister in UPA Government and they were not willing to sacrifice power and thus maintained criminal silence, she said.

She added that Omar Abdullah knew everything and now blaming the then Home Minister of India for the murder is such an act which no Kashmiri can digest. At the time of Afzals execution, Omar lied to media when he said that home minister Sushilkumar Shindey informed him few hours before the execution of Muhammad Afzal Guru. I tell you with authority and I can give you proof that New Delhi informed him on January 31 about the development and he kept it as a secret, she said, adding that she is thankful to the people of Kashmir for their support and affection while she expects nothing form pro-India politicians.
