Srinagar – Expressing dissatisfaction over the assurances of the authorities, inhabitants of Nayak Bagh area have demanded quick and prompt redressal of their grievances with regard to scarcity of electricity and water supplies.
According to a delegation from the area, inhabitants of the Abu Bakar Colony Nayak Bagh, Nowgam had approached the concern authorities with the grievances regarding bad road condition and unworthy transformer for 500 residential houses.
We approached the authority and informed them in writing and verbally about the bad condition of the roads in our area but depite of assurances nothing has changed on the ground, said a local resident Zahid Ahmad. 20 days back a team arrived here and after making on spot assessment assured the repairing of roads but their paper work have not progressed to implementation till date, he added.
A single low capacity power transformer in locality is supplying power to 500 residential houses of the area. It is often out of order and suddenly stops working, if in order added Fordous Ahmad.
Residents have appealed the authorities to look into the matter at an earliest. KNS tried to contact the concern MLA of the constituency but there was no response after the bell rang. (KNS)
