Jammu: Two boys drowned in River Tawi when they entered the shallow waters while swimming in Nagrota area in city outskirts, police said here today. “Three friends had gone for swimming in River Tawi last evening but two of them drowned when they accidentally entered the shallow waters in the back side of the Sainik School, Nagrota,” the police said. They said one of their friends namely Prashant Kumar, who was standing along the bank of the river raised an alarm but by that time, they had drowned. “Search operation was launched immediately by the locals and the police teams and body of one of the drowned boy identified as Ganesh Hans, 17, resident of Nadore was fished out,” the police said. They said another boy Vishant Verma, 17, resident of Dhok Waziraan, Jammu was still missing. Police, however, have registered a case and started the investigations.
