Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that no case is made out on a complaint filed by Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) against the man who played prank leading a strange turn of events with a cow issued an admit card for the professional entrance examination.
Official sources said that administrative department of BOPEE filed the compliant with Saddar police station, seeking action against the man, Abdul Rashid of Budgam, for defaming the board.
SDPO Sadder, Dawood Ahmad said that based on the expert opinion sought by the police, no case is made on the complaint.
The BOPEE In the complaint had stated that its issuance of admit cards is self-generated and the action by Rashid was aimed at nothing but to defame the BOPEE.
Meanwhile when contacted, Rashid said that he received a call from police station Saddar at around 4:30 p.m on Wednesday.
I humbly told police what I have done is not a cyber or any other crime and it was only aimed to correct the system, he said.
The admit card for the entrance examination for Diploma in Polytechnic was issued by BOPEE in the name of Kachir Gaaw (Brown Cow) who is supposedly daughter of Gura Dand (Red Bull).
The cow was allotted a seat at the Government Degree College Bemina for writing the examination scheduled to be held on May 10.
The incident came to light after opposition National Conference spokesman Junaid Azim Mattu uploaded a copy of the admit card on social networking site Twitter.
