Srinagar- National Conference (NC) patron Dr Farooq Abdullah said on Friday that he prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and sought forgiveness for ‘informers’ too during Tawaf (circumambulation) of holy Kaaba.
Farooq, who returned to Kashmir on Thursday after performing Umrah, made these comments while talking to reporters at Srinagar’s Hazratbal shrine after offering congregational Friday prayers.
“During Tawaf-e-Kaaba, I prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of J&K. I sought forgiveness and prayed to the Almighty to guide us through the right path. I prayed for the forgiveness of the informers too. I prayed to Allah to bring peace in J&K and ease our burden as we are caught in trouble. Deadly diseases, immorality and substance abuse have cornered us badly,” he added.
