Srinagar: One of the factions of Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Thursday said that it will launch a valley wide extensive campaign against drug menace, prevalent in Kashmir society.
Terming the spreading drug menace as a grave issue, president DAK, Dr G M Mir while presiding over a meeting said that the Association will start campaign against drug menace from May 2 and focus areas will be High Schools, Higher Secondary and Colleges across the valley.
Religious Preachers, Psychiatrists, and Students will be involved in this campaign to make people aware at large and students in particular about this social evil, DAK said.
Expressing his concern Dr Hakeem Vaqar, senior laprascopic surgeon and senior executive member of DAK said that drug menace has reached alarming proportions and if we silently watch it will be disaster for the society at large.
