Srinagar: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah today criticised ruling PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on the issue of invoking of Public Safety Act against Hurriyat Conference leader Masarat Alam.
“Where is Mehbooba Mufti? The person I’m watching on @HeadlinesToday is certainly not the person I knew for the last six years,” Omar wrote on twitter.com.
“Suddenly there are ‘red lines’ that are being drawn in the sand. How people change in office(!)” Omar said on the microblogging website.
The PDP president, in an interview to a private TV channel aired last night, defended the state government’s decision to arrest Alam and book him under the controversial PSA, saying that actions supporting Lashkar-e-Toiba terror group chief Hafeez Saeed would have vitiated the atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir.
