Srinagar: Cultural Education Wing district Srinagar in collaboration with Mezan Publishers and distributors conducted district level Qirat and Naat Competitions at S.P. Higher Secondary School.
At this occasion various students of the schools participated in the event Syed Mohammad Qadri, Abdul Majid Nowshhri and Mufti Mohammad Sultan adjudicated the event Rameez Manzoor of BHSS Shalimar, Insha of BHSS Palpora and Insha of BHSS Khanyar bagged Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions in Naat respectively. In Qirat competition Muneer Ahmad of BHSS Shalimar, Misbah of GHSS
Amirakadal and Aisha of GHSS Kothibagh bagged Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
All the participants landed the event and hoped that such events shall continue to be held in future. The other important persons on the occasion were OSD Cultural Education Wing Z.A. Banday , Principal GHSS Kothibagh Fatima Tak, Director Mizan Publications Shabir Ahmad Matji. Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz presented vote of thanks.
Director School Education Kashmir Showkat Ahmad Beigh Presided the function while as Deputy Director News Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar Shafiq Ahmad Qureshi was present as Chief Guest. Joint Director Information Shafqat Iqbal, Joint Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Urdu Council, Javid Matji participated as guests of honour. District Co-ordinator Fayyaz Ahamd Fayyaz anchored the programme and welcomed the guests. (CNS)
