No FIR lodged even after 6 months
Rajouri: Family members of a 22 year old labourer Tuesday alleged that their son was brutally put to death by goons after thrashing him mercilessly at Nishara town of Rajouri district.
Sikandar Ahmed Khan son of Hasan Ali Khan, according to his sister, was abducted by goons for his affair with a local girl.
The father especially the cousin of the local girl threatened my brother on daily basis as they were opposing the proposed marriage of the two. On their behest, the goons abducted my brother. They thrashed him and later on put him to death, the sister Nazira Begum said. We are in shock as the video about the thrashing incident has surfaced on the internet and social network. We die hundred times a day when we watch how the merciless people beat my brother.
The incident , she said, occurred in October 2014 and even after the passing of six months, police have not initiated any action and the irony is that even an FIR was not lodged in the case.
Showing the video and displaying the photographs of the slain labourer, Shamasudin Khan, the brother of the deceased said that they found the body of Sikandar at Darshan Nagar, few meters away from the house of the girl. The goons had poured acid on his body, he said.
The family members accused police of inaction and alleged that certain local police officials grabbed money from the killers and closed the case. Why police is hesitating to question the accused whom we believe are directly responsible for the killing of our son, they said and appealed DG police to personally intervene into the matter.
The family members said that instead of questioning the accused, the police is harassing the family of the slain youth and call them for questioning on daily basis.
When contacted, Station House Officer Nishara Police Station Kuldip Raj said that they are investigating the matter. We did not get FSL report in time as the Block Medical Officer was not present in the town. We will lodge FIR once we get FSL report, he said.
Give me ten minutes and I will tell you why we did not lodge an FIR in the case yet, SDPO Nishara, Sargen Shukla said but ironically did not respond to the repeated calls when called her after 10 minutes. (CNS)
