Kupwara: Awami Itihad leader and the lawmaker Engineer Rashid today lambasted the PDP-BJP Government for not withdrawing the anti–youth recruitment policy devised recently and failing to mitigate the sufferings of flood hit masses of Kashmir.
“Recruitment policy is aimed at encouraging brain drain. Contractualism is not being revoked which exhibits the arrogance of the state government,” Rashid said.
Rashid also urged the people of Kashmir to make entire mainstream and separatist leadership accountable especially with reference to the resolution of political issue of Kashmir.”It is high time that the people of Kashmir who have rendered huge sacrifices make the mainstream and separatist leadership answerable with reference to the resolution of Kashmir dispute. We also need to bear in mind that only those talks can be meaningful and result oriented which also take along the militant leadership,” Rashid said.
Rashid added that in far-flung areas there are no signs of governance. People in number of areas of Kupwara have been badly ignored and no relief has been provided to flood hit masses, Rashid said. Be it urban or rural areas there has been no sign of effective governance and no concrete plan of action has been in place to help ameliorate the pain and misery caused by floods.
