Budgam: The inquiry officer probing the killing of Narbal youth Suhail Ahmed Sofi Monday said that scores of eyewitnesses deposed before the commission and recorded their statements in detail.
Additional District Magistrate Budgam, Manzoor Ahmed Qadri said that the commission will cover all the circumstances that led to the death of teenager Suhail Ahmed Sofi.
The family members as well as other people have recorded their statements. We have been thoroughly investigating the incident. It is a time bound inquiry and we will hopefully submit our report to the State Government after 15 days, he said adding that anybody can appear before the commission till May 5.
Pertinently, an innocent teenager Suhail Ahmed Sofi was killed in police firing in Narbal area of Budgam district on April 18 this month. Police Constabe Javid Ahmed who according to police fired upon the youth on the directions of ASI Manzoor Ahmed were arrested for violating Standard Operating Procedure.
