ANANTNAG, APRIL 25: A meeting of Engineers and Officers was today held at Anantnag under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Khan to review the progress of main projects in Anantnag district.
The District Development Commissioner was informed that against an allocation of Rs. 69.50 crore for construction of 300 bedded District Hospital four storied building, an expenditure of Rs. 28.96 crore has been expended upto ending March 2015.
Similarly main building of 50 bedded two storied building with residential quarter at an estimated cost of Rs.11.30 crore, out of which Rs. 10.69 crore have been expended and has been handed over to the Health department. The construction of double storied Degree College building at Kokernag is in progress. The construction work of Government Degree College Utrusoo at an estimated cost of Rs.12.96 crore under State sector is in progress. Geography block of Boys Degree College, Anantnag completed in all respects. The Womens Hostel Boys Degree College single story building at an estimated cost of Rs.75 lakhs has been completed and fencing work is in progress.
The District Development Commissioner stressed up on the concerned Engineers and submit list of ongoing schemes so that the pending liability and additional funds can be arranged from higher authorities. The District Development Commissioner also issued authority of Rs. 50 lakhs to the Superintending Engineer Hydraulic and Rs.5 lakhs to the Assistant Commissioner Development Anantnag for making necessary arrangements and ensuing irrigation facility to the farmers for cleaning the bottlenecks on the heads of main irrigation khuls and canals.
The meeting attended by Superintending Engineer Hydraulic, Deputy Manager JKPCC, Executive Engineer PMGSY, Joint Director Planning Anantnag, Chief Medical Officer Anantnag, Chief Education Officer Anantnag and other Engineers.
