Jammu- Rural Artisans Welfare Society, Jammu today organized a one day workshop for the development of handicrafts and handicraft artisans at Hari Niwas Palace, Jammu.
The workshop was organized to provide knowledge of different handicraft development schemes to the artisans of J&K.
The workshop was sponsored by Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles Govt. of India.
The officials present during the workshop provided related information about various schemes meant for artisans in their respective departments.
Representative of bank, E- marketing Company and Chartered Accountants were also part of the workshop as professional experts & resource persons. The workshop proved to be very beneficial for the Handicraft Artisans.
The programme was attended by Pawan Raina, Anirudh Kapil and Ambika Sambyal Asst. Directors of Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.
Other officials who attended the workshop were Gulam Abbas Joint Director, Central Bureau of Communication, Anil Sharma Asst. Director KVIC, Sonika Parihar, Asst. Director J&K Handicrafts Department.
