By Majid Nabi
Srinagar- Tauqeer Zaidi, a poet, Director and producer from Allahabad whose songs became chartbusters of Bollywood during late 1990s is now getting ready to shoot his upcoming film, “Unseen Love Lane,” in the month of May 2023.
As writer and producer of the movie, Tauqeer said several films have already been made on Kashmir, but his picture will focus on the consolation and confluence.
With the release of the Zaidi’s impending ‘love story’, many Kashmiri actors including comedians, Qayoom Badshah and Gulfam, having played their roles in different regional plays and dramas are set to make their debut in Bollywood.
Addressing a press conference here, Tauqeer Zaidi said the shooting of ‘Unseen Love Lane’ will begin and conclude in May this year.
He further said that most of the actors working in the movie are from Kashmir.
“Although there is no dearth of talent in Kashmir, artists do not get a chance to showcase their skills in ‘Bollywood’. Many Kashmiri actors are about to make their big-screen debuts with his impending movie.” Tauqeer said.
‘Unseen Love Lane’ is a movie based on a love story set to showcase the beauty of Kashmir Valley.
“An estimated 15 to 20 crore rupees would be spent on the production of the movie which is all set to be shot in Srinagar city and Naranag. Many talented actors both male and female will be seen performing in the upcoming movie,” he added.
Touqeer said he used to think a lot about Kashmir.
“I reckon it’s not fine to look into paradise from a hellish perspective. I used to see Kashmiri people as beautiful and hospitable. But when the situation got bad, they became victims of circumstances. So, I wanted to show the true face of Kashmiris. The film is going to be apolitical in nature”
It was always my dream to produce a film there, and I believe that my dream has come true,” Tauqeer said.
