SRINAGAR- Eight-member J&K Junior Carrom team left on Sunday to compete at the 47th Junior National Carrom Championship, which will be held at Dadar, Mumbai, Maharashtra, from February 1 to February 4, 2023.
“Adil Rashid Shah, General Secretary flagged off the team. Arif Sultan (Secretary), Dawar Rashid (Member) and other members of the association were also present during the flag off ceremony. The team will represent Jammu & Kashmir at the championship hosted by Maharashtra Carrom Association and is being organised by All India Carrom Federation, New Delhi,” a statement from the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association said.
“The association selected an eight-member team, including Zaid Bin Ajaz, Haroon Malik, Abdul Basit, Hammad Raashid, Shahid Ahmad, Faisal Khan and Shahzeb in the men’s team. Shakir Shahr will accompany the team as Manager. Adil Rashid Shah, General Secretary of the association will also accompany the team,” it added.
The players were selected by the selection committee of the J&K Carrom Association headed by Mudasir Khan, President, Adil Rashid Shah, General Secretary and Arif Sultan, Secretary of the J&K Carrom Association.
