SRINAGAR- Srinagar-based Downtown Heroes FC is among four teams set to battle it out in the Hero 2nd Division League Qualifiers for the 2022-23 season in Kokrajhar, Assam.
The qualifiers will be played from February 12 to 16, 2023, with top two teams qualifying for the group stage.From there, the two qualified teams will join 17 other seeded teams.
The 19 teams will be divided into four groups and play on home and away basis, which will start from March 2023.
The Heroes will play United Chirang Duar FC on February 12, before facing Corbett FC on February 14 and Shillong Lajong FC on February 16.
“Thank you to everyone who has wished us well and supported us. We have finally made it to the 2nd Division I league after years of hard work. We promise to make you all proud,” the Heroes said in a statement.
