Srinagar- With just 10 days left for Bharat Jodo Yatra to reach Srinagar, the entire security apparatus are on their toes to ensure smooth end of the padayatra spearheaded by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi to the Union Territory.
Police sources told Kashmir Observer Tuesday that a detailed review meeting is being held with other security agencies to discuss the smooth and peaceful conclusion of the yatra in J&K.
They said special security arrangements have been made on the routes that Rahul Gandhi will cover during his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir.
“As of now nothing can be shared about security arrangements but we will ensure everything goes peacefully,” said an official , wishing not to be named.
Sources in the Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) also said that a detailed security review meeting is likely to be conducted with local police in the coming days to discuss the strategy to ensure full-proof security to the Yatra.
The Yatra began on September 7 and is due to culminate in Srinagar on January 27. Rahul, who has Z plus category security cover, will be entering this capital city on January 27.
