ANANTNAG: The election of All Traders Association, District Islamabad for the post of Chairman was held here today. There were four candidates in the fray.
The election conducted at Hotel Delhi Darbar was held under the supervision of Election Commission. The election stated at 11 AM and ended at 3 PM. Out of 99 members only 61 cast their vote. Ghulam Nabi Shah secured 55 votes while as Mushtaq A Pandith secured 4.
Ghulam Nabi Shah was declared as the new chairman of All Traders Association Islamabad by the Election Commission. On the occassion the executives, heads and secretaries of different Bazar Committees congratulated the newly elected Chairman.
They included members of old KMD, GBS, K.P Road A,B Sarnal, Mehandi Kadal, Janglat Mandi, Ashajipora, Court Road, Dangerpora, Chenni Chowk, Malaknag, Eidgah Road, Ganjiwara Etc. Towards end Gh Nabi Shah thanked all the participants for the sincere efforts & expressed his commitment to plead for the cause of trader community of the Islamabad district.
