Srinagar: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee strongly came out against the Union Minister Giri Raj Singh, who has issued statement against Sonia Gandhi, President AICC and demanded his resignation from the Union cabinet.
In this connection President J&K PCC G.A. Mir led a protest march against Giri Raj Singh and the BJP government here on Thursday. Prominent leaders, office bearers and workers participated in the march and chanted slogans against the BJP government for its anti-Congress tirade.
Addressing the participants, Mir said, Giri Raj Singh has lost his mind and has no respect for tall leader like Sonia Gandhi. People of India and Congress will not tolerate the divisive policy of BJP Leader and will not allow it to succeed. By issuing such statement the BJP leaders have shown their real face and by doing such things they are tarnishing the image of Country and its secular fabric.
He termed the statement highly deplorable and asked BJP and its leaders to apologize. Congress has a history of more than 125 years and we (Congress) never believe in hollow slogans and false propaganda. It is the BJP which has the foundation of hollow slogans and false propaganda, but they will never succeed in their nefarious designs, Mir added.
