JAMMU: Mr. N.N. Vohra, Governor has expressed concern and sympathy over the loss of precious human lives and the economic losses caused by the incessant rains and the consequential floods in several parts of the State. The Governor has conveyed his condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the next of kin of the persons who were killed due to a mudslide in the Budgam district.
The Governor appreciated the relief work being carried out by the State Administration and urged all possible steps being taken to mitigate the sufferings of people caused by the continuing rains. The Governor lauded the promptitude with which the Security Forces, particularly the Army, had come to the rescue of the affected people at different places in the State.
